    This week, it was reported that a Hospital Trust in Southern England had been fined a lot of money plus costs as an outbreak of Legionella had occurred.  Hospitals obviously do their best to avoid this sort of thing but it does bring it home to us all that we cannot relax our anti-Legionella tactics and precautions.     Tips on how to avoid Legionnaire’s Disease! The bacterium causing Legionnaire’s Disease likes water temperatures in the range 37 degrees centigrade to 55 degrees centigrade. Ideally water in water storage tanks should be kept below 20 degrees centigrade.  This is not always possible with roof tanks so roof tanks should be well insulated.
