Dead Pigeons in Water Tank

We were asked to visit an empty restaurant to clean their water tank and system. When we arrived we were a little surprised to find the carcasses of dead pigeons floating in the water tank. Although this sounds horrific it isn’t as uncommon as your think.

Water tanks are one of those essential pieces of equipment that can often get forgotten about as hardly anyone tends to inspect them. As a business owner with employees and or customers, when was the last time you looked in your water tank?

As you will see from the images, we started off with an extremely dirty water tank (no one would want to be using that water). We carried out our thorough pre-cleaning process along with water chlorination and the tank is now cleaned and chlorinated.

The restaurant owner was pleased and is looking forward to opening again as soon as the lockdown is lifted. This particular establishment had been closed for almost 12 months due to covid restrictions, kudos to the owner for making sure everything is safe and ready for when they can welcome customers in again.

If you own or manage a restaurant, hotel, care home, take away, or perhaps you an employer and provide bathroom and washing facilities for your employees? Then you need to make sure your water is safe. Call Waterchemist on 01543 306802 based in Lichfield but cover the UK

Images show an example of a very dirty tank – Pre-cleaning and chlorination and how it looks afterwards – cleaned and chlorinated.
